What makes an Edition different from the rest of TEREA?

Clove. Every other TEREA family is built on tobacco, menthol, fruit or a capsule; the Editions start from the taste Indonesia knows from its clove cigarettes: warm, a little spicy, slightly sweet. Some people love it from the first puff and some don't, so settle that question first.

IQOS Indonesia sorts TEREA into classic, menthol, clove and capsule groups, and its clove group today is Golden, Auburn, Berrine and Mulint, the last three introduced together on its news page as "three new flavour variants". Scarlet, Emerald and Minago came earlier and have left the IQOS Indonesia shop page, but we still have cartons of each, so this page covers all seven. And a note on the word: an Edition here is one of these seven sticks, not a country edition; a Kazakhstan or Japan "edition" of Sienna is the same flavour from another market.

Warm or cool: how to pick your first one

Start with the four warm ones if the clove is what you came for. Scarlet is the plainest, smooth tobacco and clove with nothing else named. Golden puts a fermented-plum aroma behind the clove, and IQOS labels it "Mellow & Warm". Auburn is the fruitier of the warm pair, apricot and vanilla over the clove, with "Balanced & Fruity" as its IQOS shop label. Emerald is the odd one out: fresh rather than cold, no fruit named in the listing, and we won't read menthol into a green box.

Then come the three with menthol, clove still in place underneath. Berrine is the floral one, "Cooling & Floral" in IQOS's words, with fruit and flower aroma on top. Mulint goes the berry way, "Cooling & Berry Fruit". Minago is the cooling-fruit stick where the listing stops short of naming the fruit, and we won't name one for it either.

A footnote on the three older ones: IQOS's flavour guide once gave Scarlet a red-fruit and cinnamon aroma, Emerald a fermented green fruit and Minago green and mint notes over its cold, while our listings keep the plainer wording. No strength scores or nicotine figures here; clove is a taste, not a strength rating.

Where the Editions sit next to the other Indonesian sticks

One other Indonesian stick carries clove, and it comes with a capsule: Bermin Pearl Indonesia, clove with cooling menthol and a forest-berry click, the bridge to the Pearl range. The other Indonesian capsules drop the clove: Passion Fruit Pearl Indonesia keeps menthol with a passion-fruit click, Riviera Pearl Indonesia adds raspberry and floral from its pearl, and Sun Pearl Indonesia presses to a sweet fruit aroma. Like the warmth but not the spice? Common questions

Are TEREA Editions menthol sticks?

Three are and four aren't. Berrine, Minago and Mulint have menthol cooling with the clove; Auburn, Golden and Scarlet are warm, and Emerald is fresh-feeling tobacco with no menthol named.

Do TEREA Editions have a capsule?

No. What you taste is in the stick from first puff to last; for a clove stick with a capsule, look at Bermin Pearl.

What does TEREA Golden Edition taste like?

Smooth tobacco first, then Indonesian clove, with a fermented-plum aroma behind both; IQOS's shop label is "Mellow & Warm". Some customers call it Gold Edition; same stick.

Which IQOS devices take TEREA Editions?
