Which TEREA Is Strongest? From Mild to Bold
Quick answer: Going by the official taste descriptions, the fullest-tasting sticks in the standard TEREA range are Bronze, described as rich and warm, and Blue, described as deep and cooling. Sienna, Teak and Amber sit in the middle, and Silver and Yellow are the lightest. “Strongest” here means how much tobacco taste you get in a puff, not how much nicotine is in the stick, and no official source we can quote prints a nicotine figure per flavour.
What do people actually mean by the strongest TEREA?
People ask us this nearly every day at the shop on 14th Street, Al Barsha First, and it’s usually somebody who’s only just stopped smoking cigarettes. Talk to them for a minute and you find out they mean one of two things. A few of them miss how heavy their old cigarette tasted and want something close to it. Others want to know which stick gives them the most nicotine. Those are two different questions, and only the first one has an answer we can back up.
IQOS describes every TEREA by taste. The words on the pack and on the official UAE site are things like rich, deep, balanced, zesty and herbal. These are sensory words. They tell you about body and aroma, and nothing about nicotine content. We don’t print nicotine numbers on this site because no official source we can point to gives one per flavour, and we’d rather say that plainly than make something up to fill a table.
Which TEREA sticks taste the boldest?
Here is how the standard colours line up when you go by the official descriptions and by what our own product listings say. Read it as a ladder for taste. It isn’t a chart of nicotine strength, and your own mouth will have the final say.
| TEREA | Official description | Where it sits |
|---|---|---|
| Silver | Herbal; our Italy listing calls it light tobacco | Mildest tobacco |
| Yellow | Zesty; our Italy listing calls it mild tobacco | Mild tobacco |
| Turquoise | Menthol, zesty | Mild, with cooling |
| Amber | Nutty; our Italy listing calls it toasted tobacco | Medium |
| Teak | Nutty; our Italy listing calls it balanced tobacco | Medium |
| Sienna | Balanced and woody | Medium to full |
| Purple Wave | Fresh and forest berry, with menthol | Medium cooling, fruity |
| Blue | Deep and cooling | Full, with strong menthol |
| Bronze | Rich and warm | Fullest tobacco |
So if you want the heaviest tobacco taste with no menthol, Bronze is the one to try first. For cooling and body in the same stick, Blue is what most people end up taking home. And if both of those feel like a bit much, Sienna is the one we’d hand you next. IQOS calls it balanced and woody, and that middle ground is where plenty of ex-smokers settle.
Does a bolder taste mean there’s more nicotine in it?
Not always, and this is the bit people get wrong most often. Three things decide how strong a stick tastes: the tobacco blend, how it was roasted, and what’s been layered on top, menthol or otherwise. Blue is a good example of that. The menthol in it is deep enough to catch your throat, which reads as strength, yet the tobacco sitting under it isn’t necessarily any heavier than what’s in a milder-sounding pack. Our TEREA flavour guide says this too. Words like light, deep and bold are about what you taste. There’s no nicotine scale behind them.
Nicotine is a different matter, and not one we can settle for you across the counter. The pack colour won’t settle it either. Our honest answer is to take home one taste you like and stay on it for a few days. By then you’ll know whether a session leaves you satisfied, and that tells you more than the colour on the box ever will.
What about the Black Series and the country editions?
Beyond the standard colours, we stock TEREA from Japan, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Italy and Switzerland, and some of those editions are described in stronger terms than anything in the table above. Our Black Green Indonesia listing, for instance, describes intense menthol with green fruit, and the Japan range has a Rich Regular sitting alongside Regular, Balanced Regular and Smooth Regular. If you like the sound of the darker packs, our Black Series comparison walks through all four of them.
Country of origin matters as well. Take Sienna. The Indonesian and Italian versions carry the same name and the same colour on the pack. Yet our own listings word them differently, and we won’t promise you they taste alike. We’ve covered why in our post on how TEREA differs between Indonesia, Japan and Italy, so it’s worth checking the edition on the carton before you decide a flavour is too strong or too weak.
How do you change strength without wasting a carton?
When the stick you’re on feels a bit weak, go up one row in the table. Don’t jump straight to Bronze. Somebody on Yellow usually gets on well with Amber or Teak before trying Sienna. Somebody on Turquoise who wants more cooling can look at Blue next. Go up slowly and you won’t be left with a half-used carton you don’t want.
It works the other way too when a stick is harsher than you’d like. Swap Bronze for Sienna, or Blue for Purple Wave, and see if the body is still there with less bite. And if a listing lets you buy less than a full carton, that’s the sensible place to start. Our full TEREA flavour comparison explains how the tobacco, menthol, fruit and Pearl families differ, and the TEREA category page shows what’s actually in stock this week, because the range does change.
Common questions
Which TEREA is the strongest?
By IQOS’s own words, Bronze is the fullest tobacco in the standard range. They call it rich and warm. On the menthol side, Blue is the strongest. IQOS describes it as deep and cooling. Among the country editions, listings described as intense, such as Black Green Indonesia, sit above both for menthol.
Which TEREA is the mildest?
Silver is the lightest-tasting one. IQOS describes it as herbal. Yellow, described as zesty, is the next lightest. For menthol, Turquoise is the lightest you’ll find.
Does TEREA Bronze have more nicotine than TEREA Silver?
We can’t say that. Nobody official prints a nicotine figure for each flavour, so we’ve got nothing to quote. The difference you’ll notice is in taste and body. That’s as far as we can go.
Is TEREA stronger than HEETS?
HEETS and TEREA are made for different generations of device, so putting one against the other doesn’t really work. We don’t sell HEETS, but if you’re switching over and want the closest taste, our HEETS to TEREA flavour match lines them up side by side.
Which TEREA should I start with if I’m new?
Start in the middle. Sienna or Teak will give you proper tobacco without it being heavy. If you want menthol, go for Turquoise. Give it a pack or two and you’ll know whether to go up or down.
For adults who already use tobacco or nicotine products. Nicotine is addictive, and no tobacco stick is risk-free. TEREA contains a sharp metal part; do not take it apart or swallow it. Keep tobacco sticks away from children and pets. TEREA Dubai is an independent retailer with no affiliation to IQOS or Philip Morris International. Checked on 27 October 2026.
